🤖 How will AI impact diversity?
LinkedIn Live Today 2pm UK
Hey everyone,
First off a big welcome to all the recent new additions to this network from Formula E, Fulham, Avalere Health, Expedia, The Jockey Club, Avanade, Nottingham Forest, News UK and Dazn.
I’ve been asked a lot this year about the impact of Trump’s campaign to end diversity and inclusion.
And I keeping saying DE&I isn’t going anywhere.
What keeps me confident is the passion and focus from the leaders we have in the People and Talent Acquisition space. So a big thank you to all of you for continuing to push the conversation it makes a huge difference.
With that said, let’s get into our latest updates.
Will AI Help Or Hurt Diversity?
And what is the future of hiring with AI?
AI is taking over the recruitment industry and there is no sign of it slowing down.
So let's talk about the impact.
Today I’ll be speaking with global talent sourcing expert and leading AI voice Vanessa Raath.
With years of experience training recruiters around the world and helping companies build more inclusive sourcing strategies, Vanessa brings a unique perspective on how AI is reshaping hiring.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
🟡 How Recruiters and TA Professionals are using AI in the hiring process
🟡 Is AI removing bias in hiring or reinforcing it in new ways?
🟡 What should employers watch out for to stay inclusive?
🟡 Is AI going to replace recruiters or aspects of the role of TA?
🟡 How can recruiters and hiring managers use AI tools responsibly?
🟡 What AI means for underrepresented candidates trying to break in
🟡 Recommended AI tools for hiring

What Benefits Does Gen Z Want The Most?
🏡 37% Flexible working hours
📚 29% Education and training opportunities
🫶🏽 14% Paid time for volunteering
🧘🏽 11% Health and wellness programmes
🧠 9% Mental health support
These are the results of our recent survey of young professionals in our careers network at DIVERSE to find out what work benefits Gen Z actually cares about.
Although working from home has been the huge trend, many young professionals are now seeing the benefits of being in the office to help progress their careers.
But they do want flexibility with their working hours.
Which is becoming a growing expectation.
And employers offering it will have an edge in the race for the best talent.

L’Oreal Attracting Gen Z Talent
L'Oréal Attracting Gen Z talent
Outside of the box...
L'Oréal came up with a unique way to attract new talent while also giving young people a taste of what its like to work on a real business challenge.
Here's how it works:
🟡 4500 candidates from UK & Ireland registered for L’Oréal Brandstorm
🟡 The brief? Come up with an innovation for the male beauty industry
🟡 The best are selected to pitch their ideas to L’Oréal
🟡 Winning team got a paid summer internship and represented the UK at Global Finals in Paris
I'm a big fan of this approach because it cuts through the typical employer branding noise to reach new audiences, plus it allows you to see what people are truly capable of.
It filters for driven individuals who are passionate about the industry and helps them develop skills in the process.
And I think more early-career teams should be thinking this way.
